Hello, and welcome to The Open Road Life! I am Adrienne, the imagination and heart, soul, body behind this creation. After graduating from Scripps College in 2012 with a BA in Latin American Studies, I took off to South America with a one way plane ticket and came home 9 months later with a puppy I found/adopted on the Northern coast of Colombia. From there I worked odd jobs ( nanny, physical therapy office, farmers market) and after about two years decided to move to Bolinas in Northern California for a couple of months. Upon returning home, I took off to New York City to attend holistic cooking school at The Natural Gourmet Institute. California called me home and I began working with a boutique wedding catering company, but my heart  wasn't fully in. So I decided to start cooking at home and selling to neighbors! And Open Road Foods blossomed from there.
Yoga came into the picture way back when I was 12 years old and began practicing with my dad. I would go to class and laugh or giggle to myself but the practice stuck with me and became an integral part of stability throughout middle and high school, my gap year, college and now I have completed my yoga teacher training as well as become a trauma informed yoga teacher. Prenatal is in the works!
Cooking healthy food and practicing/teaching  yoga brought two of my greatest loves and adventures into my life permanently and in a sustainable, way but there was still a part of the puzzle missing. I wanted to be working with women, nourishing that Shakti energy and bringing power and strength through food, yoga and it turns out the adventure of giving birth! After being obsessed with my prenatal section of yoga teacher training and after several women told me I would be an amazing doula, I took the plunge and did my doula training with my incredible mentor Atoosa Benji in Los Angeles.

The goal of The Open Road Life is to provide individuals and families delicious, nutritious organic food catered to their needs. Along with food, yoga plays a vital role in keeping our inner and outer bodies, minds and spirits balanced and grounded! If you are eating well and practicing yoga well, the road is open to endless possibilities. New life and a positive birth experience is where a new soul and family can create their first steps on an open road together!
The trilogy is complete. The work I do moves me in ways I never thought possible from a job.

I love what I do.
